A quick initial check (30 minutes) with tasks from all four skill areas shows where the group stands. Without diagnostics, the course is risky for the weakest and for the strongest participants.

A weekly module can look like this: a grammar/vocabulary unit, a reading and listening hour, a writing unit with peer review, an oral unit with role-plays. Every four to five weeks: a full simulation of an exam part.

For Schreiben and Sprechen, teachers should work with a transparent rubric (Inhalt / Kommunikation / Sprache / Aussprache). Feedback is more effective when it is guided by three to five clear criteria.

Four to six weeks before the exam, at least two full simulations should be conducted, one of which under exam conditions (time, answer sheet, quiet).

After each simulation, it is worthwhile to give each participant 5-point feedback: what was strong, what is the priority for the next 2 weeks.
