General Terms and Conditions

1. Scope
These terms govern use of the Preparaio learning platform (the "Platform") between the provider and the user ("Learner"). By registering, the Learner accepts these terms.
2. Service scope
Preparaio offers personalized preparation for language exams (DTZ, TOEFL iBT and others). Content, diagnostics and coach features are provided in their current form. There is no entitlement to specific exam results.
3. Registration & account
A personal account is required. The Learner must provide truthful information and keep their credentials confidential.
4. Usage rights
All content (exercises, explanations, reports) is copyright protected. The Learner receives a simple, non-transferable right of use solely for their own learning purposes.
5. AI-generated content
Explanations, recommendations and weekly reports are partly generated by AI. Content may contain errors and does not replace educational advice. The Learner reviews results at their own responsibility.
6. Termination & data deletion
The Learner may delete their account at any time in the settings. Personal data is removed in line with the privacy policy upon deletion.
7. Liability
The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence only in case of breach of essential contractual duties and limited to typical, foreseeable damage.
8. Changes
These terms may be amended. Material changes will be announced by email with reasonable notice.
9. Final provisions
German law applies. If individual provisions are invalid, the rest of the contract remains in force.
10. Subscription terms, right of withdrawal & guarantee
Depending on the plan chosen, subscriptions have a minimum term of 1, 3 or 6 months. Billing is monthly in every plan at the monthly rate booked. After the minimum term the subscription automatically renews monthly, unless cancelled with one day’s notice to the end of the current billing month via the “Cancel subscription” button in the Subscription & Billing area (§ 312k BGB). Ordinary cancellation is excluded during the minimum term; it takes effect at the end of the minimum term. Because these are digital contents delivered immediately after contract conclusion, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal lapses once the user has, at checkout, expressly consented to performance beginning before expiry of the withdrawal period and has confirmed that this consent causes loss of the right of withdrawal (§ 356 (5) BGB). Independently of that, Preparaio grants a voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee from contract conclusion: a refund can be requested informally by email to support@preparaio.com within 14 days without giving reasons.
