DTZ Result Calculator: A2 or B1?
The DTZ does not report a single overall score, but rather level ratings per section. Enter your levels for Listening/Reading, Writing, and Speaking — the calculator shows which level the certificate will display and which section limits the result.

How it's calculated
- Listening and Reading are reported together as one result, Writing and Speaking separately.
- For B1 on the certificate, B1 in Speaking and B1 in at least one of the written sections (Listening/Reading or Writing) is required.
- If this combination is not achieved, the certificate will show A2 — if one section is below that, no A2 level will be certified.
The calculator works with level ratings, not points: The point thresholds for assigning to A2 or B1 are not published per exam date. Your examination office's result is binding.
